Our Story
Well, it didn't start with the aha moment of 'let's make a snack box!'
Actually, The Snack Sanctuary was born as a result of life's twists and turns which proved to be the fertilizer, the catalyst for beautiful seeds to bloom.
Over thirteen years ago, Marquisio and Ginger Robinson's ten month old son was diagnosed with nine food allergies.
Unbeknownst to them, this diagnosis was just the beginning of a long journey that proved to be arduous and frustrating at times.
Allergens lurked in simple jars of pasta sauce, at family gatherings, restaurants and birthday parties. Ginger became a "professional" nutrition label reader to keep their son safe.
She soon became stunningly aware of all of the products that were off limits to them. The allergy friendly companies at the time were few and far in between.
Without many prepackaged products to choose from, cooking from scratch was one of their safest options!
This was also a blessing in disguise.
While learning to live with alternatives, they also learned that despite the premium prices they were paying, most of the 'safe' products contained sketchy ingredients that they wanted to avoid.
As a bustling household of ten, convenience was still needed at times.
For those classroom parties.
For those days when homemade snacks ran out.
For those days when errands ran longer than planned.
And there needed to be more options available.
Cue in The Snack Sanctuary stage left. This is just the beginning...
